South Carolina House passes bill making ‘Obamacare’ implementation a crime!

The South Carolina state House passed a bill Wednesday that declares President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be “null and void,” and criminalizes its implementation.

The state’s Freedom of Health Care Protection Act intends to “prohibit certain individuals from enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws; and to establish criminal penalties and civil liability for violating this article.”

The measure permits the state Attorney General, with reasonable cause, “to restrain by temporary restraining order, temporary injunction, or permanent injunction” any person who is believed to be causing harm to any person or business with the implementation of Obamacare.

Earlier this year in her state of the state address, Gov. Nikki Haley said that South Carolina does not want and cannot afford the president’s plan, “not now, not ever.”

“To that end, we will not pursue the type of government-run health exchanges being forced on us by Washington,” she said. “Despite the rose-colored rhetoric coming out of D.C., these exchanges are nothing more than a way to make the state do the federal government’s bidding in spending massive amounts of taxpayer dollars on insurance subsidies that we can’t afford.”

The nullification bill moved on to the state Senate Thursday and referred to the Committee on Finance.

“Now that Michigan has refused to implement a Healthcare Exchange and Healthcare Partnership for Obamacare,…we now have to nullify the entire law from being implemented here in Michigan”, said 105th District – Michigan State Representative Greg MacMaster.  “We have no choice and have to do everything we can to help save Michigan businesses from the exorbitant costs and expenses of Obamacare, and try to help save Michigan jobs”.   MacMaster said.

“I haven’t seen any of those…” Local NYC/NBC reporter Ida Siegel told the male videographer who confronted her.

“You haven’t seen any of those?” the videographer asked.

“No, I haven’t — what are they, what do they represent?” Seigel replied.

“The hammer and sickle, you don’t know what that represents?” he pressed.

Siegel at that point asked which group the videographer was with.

“I’m not with any group, I’m just curious as a major media company if you’re going to show in the story you do about this the hammer and sickle flags,” he said.

HOUSTON (TheBlaze/AP) — Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum praised the National Rifle Association as “warriors” defending the U.S. Constitution.

Santorum spoke Friday in the political rally at the NRA’s national convention in Houston. The convention is being held amid the backdrop of the fierce gun control debate raging across the country and the recent defeat of a major gun control bill in the U.S. Senate.

Santorum began his speech by honoring slain Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and his wife, Taya, who spoke right before him at the event. “That is the face — Taya, Chris — of what this movement is about. Heroic people who care deeply and love this country. Who love this country for what it is, for what it has always been,” Santorum added.

He said the government’s biggest responsibility is to protect Americans’ inalienable rights, something it is failing miserably to do in regards to the Second Amendment.

“So when Barack Obama says he wants to transform America, what does he mean?” Santorum asked.

Many times throughout his address, Santorum raised his voice as he fired up thousands of Second Amendment supporters in attendance. The speech was arguably one of the most passionate that he’s ever given — at least in recent memory.

Santorum, a former senator from Pennsylvania, told NRA members that the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment “come from God.”

Santorum said by helping to defeat the Senate bill, the NRA “stood up when freedom was under assault. You stood in the gap. You made a difference.”

He also said the debate over gun control is one over the country’s core traditional values.

“The reason the transformation of America that Barack Obama is talking about is well on its way is because the folks on that side live it every minute of their day,” Santorum said. “They are marginalizing anyone who disagrees with them…Don’t let them!   You must in every aspect of your life understand the battle that is before us, because they do.”

The Pentagon has hired a Jewish activist who has been outspoken in his opposition to “Conservative Christianity” to serve as a consultant and develop new policies on religious tolerance.

Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, has spoken out against a number of conservative Christian groups, calling them “Fundamentalist Christian Monsters.”

MRFF, which says its primary goal is to advocate for the separation of church and state, has said that most of its members are Christian. Weinstein, however, has decried what he calls “virulent religious oppression” coming from conservative groups, comparing them to “bigots” from the Deep South during the civil rights era.

“These days, when anyone attempts to bravely stand up against virulent religious oppression, these monstrosities cry out alligator tears in overflowing torrents and scream that it is, in fact, THEY who are the dispossessed, bereft and oppressed. C’mon, really, you pitiable unconstitutional carpetbaggers?” Weinstein wrote for The Huffington Post.

Weinstein has expressed disagreement especially with the conservative argument for traditional marriage, writing about pro-family groups: “The extremist, militant nature of these virulently homophobic organizations’ rhetorically-charged propaganda.”

Some of the conservative groups Weinstein has targeted include Focus on the Family, the American Family Association, the Family Research Council, and the Chaplains Alliance for Religious Liberty.

He said that he agrees with the Southern Poverty Law Center’s designation of these organizations as “hate groups.”
